Trim Celtic Girls on a roll!!

The Trim girls didn’t have far to travel last week-end for the Semi-final (first leg) of the SFAI U14 competition, which was played in St Pat’s in Navan. The Trim girls had high hopes heading into the game. Walshestown had tip off in the first half, but were quickly disposed by Zara Sheridan, who scored within the first minute of the game. Emma Chamberlain had a superb game and added another goal to the score line. Striker, Cliodhna Moore added another goal before half time.

Second half action saw Karley Leavy make a brilliant run and was rewarded with an early goal. Three minutes before the final whistle Trim were awarded a penalty for an unnecessary hand ball. Niamh Moore took the penalty kick but was denied by the crossbar. The second leg of the cup will be played in the next three weeks, and all going well Trim will book a place in the final, against Quay Celtic.
