When David Conway was presented with the Brody Cup for Senior Player of the Year at the Club’s recent Presentation Function in the Castle Arch Hotel he became the sixth player in the Club after Paddy Doyle, Kevin Fogarty, Danny Quinn, Ciaran Rispin & Dominic Martin to become a twice recipient of the award.

He is the only player to win the Brody Cup & also the Barry Cup for Reserve Team Player of the Year which he received in 1998.

He is one of only four players to receive the Brody Cup & also the Clancy Cup for Clubman of the Year which he received in 2003. Danny Quinn, Peter Campbell & Luke Dempsey were the others.

This means that he is the only player to have received all three – something that may not be repeated for a long time.

What odds that he becomes the first player to be named Senior Player of the Year three times?
