The Committee of the Club is delighted to announced the appointment of Chris O’Connor as its new Reserve Team Manager for the coming season.

Chris is a native of Dublin & he brings with him considerable football experience as he steps into the shoes of the departed Luke Dempsey who  last season guided the Reserves to the Premier Reserve Division title in the Meath & District League.

Chris lived in the UK for nine years & played football with Burnley Cubs as a youngster. As a 15 year old he played for Home Farm Schoolboys.

He has experience as a Schoolboy Manager in Dublin football circles & as a player he lined out for Ballymun Town. He managed at Junior level, taking charge of Leinster League side Naomh Padraig for several years, leading them to the final of the Conway Cup. He also served them as Club Secretary & as a player.

Chris was appointed to the Committee of the Leinster Junior League in 2005 & spend a year in the chair of its Discipline Committee.

Chris holds a brown belt in kick boxing (cranky players please note!), lives in Kildalkey & has a daughter Vanessa. He also spend time in Germany & in the United States.

He will work with newly appointed Senior Team Manager Tony O’Sullivan. Chris has appealed this evening for all players to return to training next Tuesday night at 8pm at the MDL.
