The Committee of the Club is delighted to announce that Tony O’Sullivan has been appointed to manage the Club’s Senior Team for the 2008/9 season.

‘Tony is a hugely experienced football man who has very considerable knowledge of the game & we are absolutely delighted that he has come on board to take charge of the Senior Team’ said Club Chairman Robert Bradley this evening. ‘He takes charge of a very talented squad of players who are capable of bringing more silverware to the Club following their success in recent years’.

Tony (pictured here) was a member of the coaching staff of Cork City when they won the National League in 1992/3 & more recently he steered Munster Senior League side Everton to the final of the FAI Intermediate Cup.

Tony was also an experienced referee who reached the highest level in this country when he took charge of the FAI Cup Final between Waterford & St. Patrick’s Athletic in 1980. He graduated to officiate in no less than seven European matches. He refereed in Iceland & ran the line in the San Siro, the Bernabau & in Ajax on a night when the great Johann Cryuff was on the field.

Tony is currently a representative for Toplion the distribution agents for Umbro in Ireland. Previously he worked for Adidas & was a member of Jack Charlton’s kit team for many years.

Tony is married, lives in Navan & has a young son.
