Trim Celtic Sevens Club held its annual Presentation Function in the Town Hall last Sunday afternoon before a huge crowd of supporters & Club members and a most enjoyable afternoon was had by everyone present.
Chairman Pat Hanson assisted by his Committee Members had been working for several weeks to ensure that the event was successful & they were not disappointed. Most of the Club’s 150 Sevens players were present to receive souvenir medals for the efforts on the field during the season & some special presentations were made also.
Margaret Sheridan the NECSL Sevens Organiser was presented with a lovely piece of mounted cut glass for all her work for the the youngest players in the NECSL. Margaret has been a great supporter of the Club & is a very popular figure with all of the Trim Celtic managers & players at the MDL on Saturday mornings.
Denise Clohisey was presented with a bouquet of flowers for her stewardship of the Club’s finances during the season.
Chairman Pat Hanson paid tribute to the efforts of Tom Fitzgerald of the Fun Club in the Community School on Friday nights. He went on to thank all of the Club sponsors, the parents of the players & the many other people who contribute to the successful season just finished.
Management Committee Secretary Des Clancy in turn paid tribute to the efforts of the Sevens Committee.
All in all the event was a huge success & everyone now looks forward to a resumption of activity later in the summer. Meantime, a well earned rest……………
