The Club’s U13A’s signed off on their NECSL Division 1 league campaign this morning when they defeated visitors Johnstown at Tully Park in a game played out in near perfect conditions. Conor Henebery (2), captain Colin Stowe, Aaron Winters, Jack Johnston & Jack Reilly were the scorers in an impressibe 6-2 win.

The team had actually won the league title before today’s game but had to wait until today for the presentation of the trophy. NECSL Chairman Peter McManus was on duty after the game to present the trophy to Colin Stowe & he paid tribute to the HSE for its continuing sponsorship of the league. He also acknowledged the work of the Club’s various officials who contributed to the success of the team on the field this year. This was followed by a few words by team captain Stowe.

Ron Metcalfe’s boys have another big match next Saturday when they are due to meet Athboy in the final of the Premier Shield in their last game of the season.
