Today was a day of mixed fortunes for the Club’s Schoolboy sides who recorded three wins & three defeats between them in six league matches played.

The U13As maintained their league leading form when the saw off visitors Torro Utd. at Tully Park this morning by a score of 6-0. On target were Jack Reilly (2), Ciaran O’Rourke (2) (pictured), Jack Johnston & Conor Henebery. Stand in keeper Patrick Lennon & Barry FitzGerald also featured to an excellent all round display.

The U11As travelled to Kingscourt to take on the local Harps & came away happy after a fine 4-1 win. The scorers were Eoin O’Connor, James Cullen & Peter Gavin (2) – one penalty.

Ferghal O’Hare (2) & Jack Byrne were on target as the 12s defeated Bailieboro at the MDL Grounds in their ‘away’ league match.

Surprise of the day was the home defeat of the 14s at the hands of Kells/Blackwater, a result which leave Kentstown in the driving seat as regards the Division 1 league title. Donal Callan was the scorer.

The 15s dominated their home match against Albion Rovers for long periods but lost out very unluckily by the odd goal in five. They were not helped by a referee’s error for the winning goal. On target was Scott McGown with a brace.

The 11Bs were defeated 2-4 away to Johnstown in Navan. Scorers not known.
