After a break of three weeks due to postponements, the Club Ladies are back in action this coming Wednesday at Tully Park when they take on visitors O’Devaney Utd. in Division 3 North of the Dublin Women’s Soccer League.

Why not come out to see them as they bid to maintain their unbeaten run to the start of the season? Kick off is scheduled for 7.15pm.

Senior training for the 2008/9 MDL season starts next Tuesday evening & all Club players are asked to report back at 8pm. The venue is the MDL grounds on the Trim Road, Navan.

New players wishing to sign for the Club this year are very welcome – contact Mark Scanlon on 086 888 8500 or Noel Payne on 086 406 8311 any time. Existing members who are unable to resume training next Tuesday please contact them also.

Details of pre-season friendlies will be announced shortly.

The Committee of the Club is delighted to announce that Tony O’Sullivan has been appointed to manage the Club’s Senior Team for the 2008/9 season.

‘Tony is a hugely experienced football man who has very considerable knowledge of the game & we are absolutely delighted that he has come on board to take charge of the Senior Team’ said Club Chairman Robert Bradley this evening. ‘He takes charge of a very talented squad of players who are capable of bringing more silverware to the Club following their success in recent years’.

The Club’s annual Presentation Function for the Seniors & Ladies was held last Friday night in the Castle Arch Hotel & the highlight of the evening was the announcement that David Conway had been selected to receive the Brody Cup for Senior Player of the Year thus becoming the sixth player to have his name engraved on the cup twice. ‘David enjoyed another outstanding season with the Club & fully deserved the award’ according to his manager Damien Dempsey. He is pictured here receiving the trophy. Also in the picture (left to right) is Des FitzGerald, Nick Nally & Christy Ginnerty one of the Club’s Vice Presidents.

Its that time of the year again and Real Soccer is back at Tully Park once again. The Real Soccer Summer School is open to all boys and girls aged between 6 and 15 and will be running this year from the 28th of July until the 1st of August.
