MDL Premier Reserve Division Champions

With one game still to play the Club’s Reserve Team this evening became the 2007/8 MDL Premier Reserve Division champions when the news came through that Glenmuir had failed to defeat Duleek at the Tollstone in their last game of the season. What a climax to the season this is for Luke Dempsey’s team, trailing so far behind the pace setters for so long, to put in a finishing burst over the last six weeks to secure the title!

Congratulations to Luke, to his assistants & to all of his players on this magnificent achievement. The celebrations have already started - this picture was received ‘live’ from a local hostelry a few minutes ago!

The trophy will be presented next Saturday after the last game of the season for the Reserves - now a formality.
