The Club U15s advanced to the last 32 of the SFAI Cup this afternoon when they defeated visitors Kinsealy Boys by a score of 5-2 after extra time after the two sides finished level 2-2 after normal time. This was ia most impressive display by John Marron’s boys & they could easily have won by a much bigger margin had they converted more of the numerous scoring chances that they created throughout. Star man on the day was Darragh Scannell who hit four goals – two in normal time & two in the first period of extra time. Conor Smith got the last goal in the second period of extra time. Dean Kelly gave a huge performance in defence.

The U12s made the long journey up to Carrickmacross & came home with three vital NECSL Div 1 points thanks to a very late winner from Jack Byrne – the only goal of the game.

The U16s drew once again – this time at home to Kells/Blackwater in their Div 1 clash. Jamie Lee & Diarmuid Higgins were on target in the 2-2 game.

The U11B & U13B games were both postponed. The U17s, U14s & U11As are all scheduled to play tomorrow.
