On a very busy day yesterday for the Club’s Schoolboy teams in local competition, the final tally was – played 8, won 6, drew 1 & lost 1, all in NECSL league matches.

The 11As travelled to Navan where they defeated Parkvilla 4-3. The scorers were James Cullen, Mark Kane, Eoin O’Connor & Peter Gavin.

The 11Bs also won away. They took on Skryne/Tara & won 6-4. Liam O’Donnell (2), Meara Owens (2),  Ryan Tuoghy & Luke Osborne were the marksmen.

The 12s hit six without reply at home to Bailieboro. Scorers – Fearghal O’Hare (2), Ryan Moore, Conal McGrenra, Chris O’Gara & Sean Coloe.

Both U13 teams won away from home. The B’s won 3-2 in Athboy. Dean Courtney hit two & Glenn Flood converted from the spot. The A’s won 4-0 in Johnstown (Navan) thanks to goals from Colin Stowe (2), Jack Reilly & Aaron Winters.

In Carrickmacross the U14s took on the local Rovers & emerged victorious in a 5-3 game. Mark Little hit a hat-trick & Fionn Nally and Lee Dixon hit one each.

The 15s drew 1-1 with Carrickin Tully Park. Lewis Dowling was the scorer.

The only losers on the day were the 16s who lost by the only goal of the game away to Grover Rangers in Drogheda.

The U17 result from this morning is not known yet.
