The Club had six teams playing today in the SFAI Cups & good to report five of them made their way into the next round.

The 11As took on Ashbourne from the NDSL at Tully Park & emerged victorius after a fine display. Eoin O’Connor hit both goals in a 2-1 win. Click here for pictures.

The 12s beat visitors Carrick Rovers from the NECSL 4-0 – the same score as in the recent league match between the sides. Neil Sweeney, Mentas Cervinskas, Chris O’Gara & Jack Byrne were the marksmen. Click here for pictures.

The 13As ran up a high score win away to Slane (Drogheda SL), winning by no less than 18-0! In what is believed to be a new Club record for a competitive game Jack Reilly hit 7 (to equal the individual feat of Jack Byrne at U12 earlier this season), Aaron Winters scored 5, Gareth White & Jack Johnston 2 each & Sean Dalton, Jake Shanley & Conor Henebery 1 each.

The 13Bs beat Grove Rangers also from the Drogheda SL at Tully Park, hitting seven goals without reply in a fine win. On target were Dean Courtney (3), Anthony Peppard (2), Alan O’Halloran & Eric Butler with his first ever goal for the Club. Click here for pictures.

The 15s were taken to extra time away to NECSL side Kells/Blackwater but got through thanks to the only goal of the game in extra time thanks to Conor Smith.

The only losers on the day were the 16s who were beaten 0-1 away to Kingscourt of the NECSL in a competitive game during which they spurned many chances.
