The Club Seniors drew with visitors Glenmuir in a scorleless encounter this afternoon at Tully Park to maintain their unbeaten start in the Premier Division of the MDL.
Overall the result was a satisfactory day’s work for Celtic against a sharp Glenmuir side that enjoyed its fair share of the play. It took a fine performance from Doninic Martin in goal to keep the opposition out & he was ably assisted by Cyril Halton (pictured above), Paul Campbell & Mark Gilsenan. Glenmuir squandered the best chance of the game when they failed to convert from the spot.
Campbell nearly ’stole’ the result for Celtic with a long range effort late on. Trim finished with 10 players after Adam Campbell limped off with all available substitutes having been used.
