The goal sparked Trim into life & they then took the game to Torro. Trim created many chances with Thomas Noone being unlucky on a number of occasions. Just before half time Celtic were rewarded when Thomas Noone fired a shot from twenty yards which was parried by the Torro keeper into the path of Damien McGee who finished it off. The second half was end-to-end football in a highly entertaining game but neither side could find the winning goal, despite Thomas Noone having a guilt-edged chance with only two minutes remaining. Best for Trim on the day were Micky Reilly & Simon Dixon at the back & the midfield pairing of Gary Reilly & Jordan Martin. Celtic’s cause on the day was not helped by the failure of several regular players to turn up.
