Result: Trim Celtic U11 0, Glebe North (NDSL) 1

Trim Celtic’s 11A team suffered its first defeat of the 2007/08 season in the fourth round of the SFAI Cup going down to Glebe North (NDSL) from Balbriggan at Tully Park last Saturday, thus ending the great run that the team enjoyed since last August. In a very tightly contested match there was little to choose between the teams. Celtic had the best of the scoring opportunities in the first half & should have been comfortably ahead at half time. Glebe North took the lead early in the second half after early Celtic pressure & despite a great finish to the game Trim were unable to bring it to extra time.  Across the pitch Trim players turned in fine performances, none more than Kyle Dixon in midfield, James Cullen up front & Peter Gavin in defence. Back to domestic competition for Celtic now after a great cup run.
