The Senior Team under the management of Alan Kirwan takes on Ardee Celtic on Sunday afternoon hoping to get the better of the Co. Louth side after two draws in this year’s MDL Premier Division League campaign – the most recent one last Sunday week in Ardee when the teams failed to find the net between them. In the first game of the season at Tully Park last August, Paul,Campbell (pictured above) earned Celtic a point in a 1-1 draw when he converted from the spot but he will miss next Sunday’s game having been dismissed in Ardee last Sunday week.  Alan will be hoping to see his charges advance to the semi final stage and he is confident as he goes into the game with a full squad available for selecton.

This Saturday Shay Lee (pictured below) hopes to see his team win through to the last sixteen of this year’s SFAI National Cup having recorded some impressive results to date in the competition. First up were East Meath Utd (NECSL) who were beaten 3-0 early last October in Tully Park. Then came Ratoath Harps (NDSL) away later in October and the Celts emerged victorious by a score of 4-2. A trip to Torro Utd (NECSL) was next which resulted in a fine 3-1 win and in the last round  three weeks ago the boys took on St. Columbans (NDSL) at the MDL Grounds and won 3-1 after a most impressive performance. A good display again next Saturday could very easily land the Trim boys into the final stages of an SFAI Cup – a feat that has eluded many Celtic teams over the years.
