Glenmuir will be glad to see the back of Trim Celtic this weekend after Alan Douglas hit four goals this afternoon to secure maximum points for the Club’s Reserves in their MDL Premier Reserve Divison tussle at Tully Park. Having been two goals to the good Celtic allowed the game drift away and found themselves a goal down before Douglas scored twice late on to win the game. This was the second 4-3 win for Celtic over the Co. Louth Club this weekend – the Seniors won by the same score in Dundalk on Friday night. And it was the third 4-3 victory this weekend – the U16s defeated Athboy by the same score earlier today.
Alan (pictured above) was the second Celtic player to hit four goals today – Karl O’Reilly did the same this morning for the U13s against Enfield.
The third Team Reserve Cup match away to Agher Park was postponed this afternoon after referee John Regan deemed the pitch unplayable despite the views from both managers.
