Friendly V Fordrew
The Reserves completed their pre-season programme with a defeat away to Fordrew. The 1st half was a dour affair and Fordre were lucky to go in 1 up. The 2nd half was slightly more entertaining but even after Celtic drew level, through Michael Tyndall after a fine ball from David Campbell, they failed to kick on and after 2 quick fire goals they found themselves 3-1 down. Ciaran Quinns superb cross lead to a 2nd for Tyndall but Celtic failed to convert another and ran out 3-2 losers, it could have been worse only for an excellent penalty save from Eric Scanlon in the dying moments. Best for Trim were John Kelly, Adam Campbell and Michael Tyndall.
