Another busy day at the MDL Ground yesterday for the Club’s seven-a-side teams. Plenty of goals and enjoyment was had by all concerned!

>> The Beavers lost out twice in their games unfortunately. The Rascals defeated them 1-0 and they also suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the Pumas. For the Pumas Mikey Cullen, Conor Proust, Zak McGowan, Karl Corcoran, Fintan Devlin & Conor Sweeney were on target. Keane Geraghty had a fine game for the Pumas. >> The Pumas also defeated the Falcons 6-0 thanks to strikes by Mikey Cullen (3), Zak McGowan (2) & Conor Proust.Other to impress were Conor Higgins & Pierce Darby. >> No results submitted for the Rovers or for the other games played by the Rascals or the Falcons.Under 9

>> The Tigers enjoyed two fine wins. The beat Enfield 6-1 – on target were Gareth West, James McKeown, Eoin Sweeney, Jack Kelly, Dean Egan & Daire Lynch. They also beat johnstown Panthers by a score of 8-0. The marksmen this time were James McKeown (2), Eoin Sweeney, Colm Mulryan (2), Cathal Bermingham, Fintan Mcloughlin & Dean Egan. >> The Spikes won one and drew one. They beat Johnstown Tigers 3-0. The goialscorers wereJack Dowling, Leon Farmer & Owen Daly. Others to impress were Anthony Losty, Adam Cregan & Sean O’Toole.In their second game they shared two goals with the Parkvilla Warriors thanks to an Alex Walsh strike. Christopher McMahon, Jack Farrell & Colm Lennon caught the eye. >> The Swifts played out a scoreless draw with Johnstown Tigers but they lost out 0-3 to Enfield in their second game. >> No results submitted for the Cougars.Under 10

>> Damien Proust hit the net for the Jets in their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Newtown Utd. They lost their second game also 1-4 to Parkvilla celtic and this time Declan McIntosh was on target. >> Mark Kane & Cian Goodwin scored in the 2-2 draw that the Eagles played against Parkvilla Celtic. >> The Cubs won 5-1 against Torro. Cian Nevin hit 2 and Cormac Harten, Daniel Lewis & Anthony Moran also found the net. Sean Cumiskey impressed in defence. In their second game they lost out 1-3 against Parkvilla. On target was Cian Nevin again. Liam Fletcher & Neilly Reilly enjoyed fine games. >> The Raptors ran up 13 goals without reply against Kells. Pierre Fox hit a hat trick as did Jack Byrne. Jack McGowan hit 2 and David Rennick, Luke Moran, Eoin O’Connor, Kyle Dixon & Ciaran Harte also scored. They bettered this result in their second game winning 14-1 against Newtown. The scorers were Kyle Dixon, Pierre Fox & Jack Byrne with hat tricks each, Jack McGowan & Luke Moran with 2 each and Darren McGarry got one.
