Andy Reilly’s long wait for a senior goal came to an end in Kilberry yesterday as he netted the decisive final goal in the Reserves 6-2 victory over Torro Utd. Having signed Senior forms for the Club over ten years ago, the goal was overdue and well deserved. Also on target were Alan Douglas 2, Noel Payne (pen), Nicky Maxwell and Stevie Ennis.
In another high-scoring match the Thirds shared six goals with Athboy in a 3-3 thriller at Tully Park. Another notable goalscorer was Club chairman Robert Bradley, over twenty years older than the next oldest player on the team. John Peden and James Moynihan who also netted.
