Forty years ago this year the first meeting of the present Trim Celtic club was held in Trim at which a decision was taken to enter a team in the Leinster Junior League and one of the founder members on that night was Christy Ginnerty who went on to drive the ambitions of Trim Celtic for many years. Christy served the Club in many position over the years on Committee and on the sidelines from where he managed the Club to some of its greatest achievements in the 1970s and 1980’s. Christy is also a former Chairman of the Club.

This year we are proud to see the Ginnerty connection continue with the appearance of his grandson Chistopher playing for the U9 Swifts under the management of Dan Fox. Keep up the good work Christopher!
