>> The Beavers managed by John Dalton won their first game against Enfield 2-1 thanks to a brace of goals by Alan Monaghan. Michael Dalton caught the eye in this game. In their second game they went down 1-4 to Trim Town/Kilmessan. Aaron Lynch was the scorer in this game. Thomas Coloe gave an impessive performance.
>> The Rascals played only one game and emerged as 3-1 winners over Celtic’s Rovers to please manager Alan Kirwan. Jack Smith got 2 & Jason Harper the other. Charlie Ennis & James O’Neill enjoyed fine outings.
>> Adrian Geraghty’s Pumas drew one of their games and one the other. Against Johnstown they shared 6 goals. On target wereKarl Corcoran, Mikey Cullem & Fintan Devlin. Adam Sheehan & Zak McGowan were outstanding. In their second game they hit 10 goals without reply against Trim Town/Kilmessan. The scorers were Fintan Devlin 4, Zak McGowan 3, Karl Corcoran 1, Mikey Cullen 1 & Pierce Darby 1. Keane Geraghty gave an impressive performance.
>> The Falcons played out a sporting and competitive scoreless draw against Trim Town/Kilmessan Whites in their first game. Luke Clohisey was man of the match. In their second game they ran out 11-1 winners against Trim Town/Kilmessan Reds. Eric Rispin caught the eye in this game with no less than 5 goals. Niall Durkan scored a hat trick as did Peter Farrell.
>> The Rovers only played one game, losing 1-3 to Celtic’s Rascals. Ciara Hanson was on target and manager Pat Hanson was impressed by the performance of Cormac Boggan.
>> The Tigers managed by John Sweeney & John Kelly defeated Gibbstown 10-1 in their first outing. Gareth Van der Westhuizen, James McKeown & Jack Kelly scored 2 each. Eoin Sweeney hit a hat trick & Dean Egan also found the net. They defeated Trim Town 5-0 in their second game with James McKeown Eoin Sweeney & Lateef Yussuf on target.
>> Dan Fox saw his Swifts defeat Enfield 5-0 thanks to strikes by Cillian Shortt 3 & Ciaran McIntosh 2. They also played out a scoreless draw with Johnstown thanks to a fine display in defence by John Conlon who was man of the match.
>> The Spikes defeated Oristown 6-0. Leon Farmer, Christopher McMahon, Owen daly, Alex Walsh & Jack Farrell all scored and Adam Cregan gave an impressive performance. Against Johnstown they drew 3-3 with Leon Farmer & Luke Doyle (2) on target. In this game Anthony Losty was Paddy Doyle’s man of the match.
>> The Eagles under Peter Callaghan’s watchful eye, played a 2-2 draw with Celtic’s Cubs. Cian Goodwin & James Cullen scored. In their second game they won 2-0 against Celtic’s Jets. Peter Gavin hit both.
>> The Cubs managed by Peter Madden played two other games last Saturday. They also drew 2-2 with Kells Lions and they defetaed parkvilla 2-1 to continue their great start to the season. Meara Owens was missing on the day and the team was boosted by the performance of guest U8 player Zak McGowan who found the net along with Anthony Moran. Neilly Reilly & Liam Fletcher impressed in defence and elsewhere Brian Lennon & Cormac Harten impressed. In goal Fionn Madden was fearless throughout.
>> Gerry Harte’s Raptors defeated Kells Pumas 8-0 thanks to goals by Jack Byrne 3, Eoin O’Connor 2 & one each from Colin Fitzgerald, Kyle Dixon, Ciaran Harte, David Rennick & Pierre Fox. Jack McGowan also impressed. They also defeated Kells Lions 4-0. On target were Pierre Fox 2, David Rennick 7 Luke Moran. Darren McGarry had a fine game in goal.
>> Pascal Corrigan’s Jets enjoyed a much deserved win over Torro by the only goal of the game scored by Eamonn McLoughlin (pictured below). This was the team’s first victory after several week’s trying and it is a great credit to the boys and the team management. Well done! In their second game they lost out to the Eagles 0-2. The U10 Jets are pictured above.
