Four of the Club’s Schoolboy teams lined out today in their respective SFAI Cups.

The U11s travelled to play Torro Utd away in the SFAI Cup and ran up 12 goals conceding only 1 as they advenced to the next round. Jack Byrne scored 4 (2 headers), Neil Sweeney hit 2 and Adrian Maguire, Stephen Moroney, Christopher O’Gara, Fearghal O’Hare, Conal McGrenra & Cillian Madden each weighed in with 1 goal. Team Managers John Sweeney & Mark Farrell were delighted to see the team advance to the 3rd round in such impressive style.

The U12s lost 0-2 at Tully Park to Athboy despite an imprssive display from Malachy Joe Gavin.

Grange Woodbine from the NDSL were the visitors to Tully Park to play the U13s in the SFAI Cup but ehey went away empty handed after a 4-0 win by Celtic. The scorers were Shane O’Connor, James Toher and Joey Corrigan (pictured below) who hit 2. The team now advances to the 3rd round.


The U14s played Carrick Rovers in Carrickmacross in their SFAI Cup but lost out in a ten goal thriller – the final core was 4-6 for the home team.

Tomorrow the U15s take on Ratoath Harps in the SFAI Cup in Ratoath – KO 12.30pm. The U16 cup game away to Baldoyle has Been postponed.
