Mixed fortunes today for the Club’s Schoolboy teams with three wins and two defeats. The U14’s and U13’s both advancved to their Divisional NECSL Shield finals thanks to two impressive away results. John Marron steered the 13’s to victory over East Meath by a score of 3-1 thanks to goals from Scott McGowan, Conor Smith & Darragh Scannell while Shay Lee guided his U14 side to a penalty win over Torro Utd. The teams drew 3-3 after extra time (Colm Smith 2 and Damien McGee) on target and McGee went on to hit the winning penalty in the shoot out. The U15’s went down 1-2 at home to Carrick Rovers in their Shield match. Adam Whelan was on target. The U12’s defeated Torro Utd. 2-0 in a League match at Tully Park -Gavin Mullen got both goals. The U16’s lost valuable ground in the run-in to the League as a result of a 3-1 defeat by Ardee Celtic. Alasn Douglas was on target.
