Second-half goals by Mark Gilsenan¬†& John Farrell were enough to keep the Club Seconds on target for the MDL Premier Reserve League title in a tense gamea against Trim Town on the Longwood Road this evening. A first half penalty save by Fergus Fagan was vital for Celtic who now go on to meet Carrick Rovers in Carrickmacross next Saturday in a ‘must win’ game. A win for Carrick will earn them the League title and a draw will mean that the destination of the title will go down to the last games with Carrick holding the advantage of a single point lead. Tonight’s result means that Trim Town’s second team is relegated. Shane Ashe missed a late penalty for Celtic.
