Knockout football is lining up for Club teams over the next few weeks with a number of key clashes already scheduled.

Next Saturday Shay Lee takes his Under 14’s to Navan to play in the NECSL Challenge Cup. This will be a tough game for Shay’s lads as they take on a Parkvilla side that has advanced to the last sixteen of the SFAI Goodson Cup (one of only two NECSL teams to get to this stage of a national cup this season -they other one being Celtic’s Under 12’s).

The MDL draw for the Kilmessan Shield was made this week and the Firsts have been paired with Agher who will have home advantage. If the Seconds can get past Carrick in the Reserve Cup this coming weekend, they will travel to play Kentstown in the next round. Danny Quinn will be hoping that his team can recover from the disappointment of losing last weekend to Ardee in the Leinster Junior Shield, when they set off for Carrickmacross on Saturday.

Next Saturday week the Club Under 12’s will become the first Celtic side ever to reach the quarter-final stage of a national cup if they can beat Kingdom Boys from Tralee. Nick Nally’s team have home advantage.
