Mixed Fortunes

With only the Senior team result to come in, results this weekend have very mixed so far in the seven games played.

The Reserves took then lead early in the second half against visitors Carrick Rovers only to concede a late equalizer in their B Resreve League match at Tully Park. As reported earlier, the Thirds lost on Friday night.

Nick Nally’s 13s suffered a rare defeat away in Kentstown as his boys struggle to get their early season form going. They lost out by the odd goal in five. Sean McGee and Rian Wogan were on target. Manager Shay Lee (pictured) was disappointed to see the U15s lose also, at Tully Park, against visitors Albion Rovers. Darren Osborne was on target in the 1-3 defeat.

2125

Better news for John Sweeney’s 11s who won 4-0 at home to open their campaign. On target were Fearghal O’Hare (2), Jack Byrne (2) & Stephen Moroney. The 12s also won at home by a score of 6-1. David Fox, Jack Johnston (2), Conor Henebery (2) & Ciaran O’Rourke all scored. Also in ther winners enclosure were the U14s who held on to defeat Newtown 3-1 at Tully Park.

All Schoolboy matches were League games.
