The Club had four teams playing in the SFAI National Cups today and three of them enjoyed impressive wins.

It took a wonderful late goal by Sam Millen (pictured) to enable Nick Nally’s U12’s overcome a very strong Albion Rovers side at Tully Park. Young Sam also scored from the spot and Fionn Nally also scored in a 3-2 win.

Shay Lee’s U14’s travelled to Kells and came away with a 2-0 win thanks to the shooting prowess of Shane Mooney & Sean Foley.

THe U16’s travelled without manager Mark Scanlon to Oldcastle and won by the only goal of the game from the boot of Sean Bell. The team was managed on the day by Terry Scanlon.

The only losers today were Michael Loughlin’s U15’s who put in a strong display but could not match the overall power of the visitors from Kentstown. Gary McGee was on target for Celtic.

Tomorrow the U13’s travel to Malahide Utd looking for a place in the next round. Good luck boys!
