Celtic teams enjoyed mixed fortunes this Saturday in local competition winning two and losing three of the games played today.
Second Team manager Noel Farrell (pictured) had reason to smile as he watched his side (including several of last year’s Under 17 NECSL League winning team) defeat Ardee in the Premier Reserve Division of the MDL at home this afternoon. However, of the four Schoolboy managers on duty today only Ron Metcalfe’s boys enjoyed success, running out comfortable 9-1 winners away to Enfield. The U15’s lost out at home to Enfield by a score of 3-5; the U14’s lost 1-3 away to Torro and the U13’s suffered a 0-6 defeat away at the hands of Ardee.
All eyes now transfer to the First Team’s game at home tomorrow afternoon against Rock Celtic from Dundalk (2.30pm KO). Manager Alan Kirwan will be hoping to see his side secure it’s first win of the new season.
