Trim Celtic 5 – 1 Albion Rovers

Halftime: 3 – 0

Trim Celtic scorers: David O’Connor 2, Sean Foley 2, Jamie Lee

Trim Celtic put in an impressive display to put five past Albion Rovers in this game. David O’Connor opened the scoring with a fine goal after a mazy run.
Jamie Lee crashed a second to the net midway through the half and David O’Connor added a third direct from a corner just before halftime.

In the second half two Sean Foley added two more goals the first being a particularly fine individual effort and the second from close range after good work by Darren Melia.

Best for Trim Celtic were Declan Fitzsimons, James Hyland, Sean Foley, Jonathan Shaw and David O’Connor.

Kells Boys B 3 – 5 Trim Celtic

Halftime: 1 – 2

Trim Celtic scorers: Thomas Stokes 2, Thomas Farrelly, Paul Walsh Trim Celtic missed some early chances and fell a goal behind before taking a 2 – 1 halftime lead. Celtic then added three more goals in the second half while Kells also added to more. Celtic goals came from the excellent Thomas Stokes and Thomas Farrelly and a superb 30 yard free kick from Paul Walsh.
Goalkeeper Brian Marron made five great saves with Cormac Joyce and Cian McGrenra also in impressive form.

Trim Celtic win 6 – 5 on pens

Halftime: 1 -1

Trim Celtic scorer: Stephen Jones

Another great performance by Trim Celtic earned them a place in the Shield final. Albion took the lead in the first half but Celtic equalised with a Stephen Jones penalty. The game remained scoreless through the second half and extra time with Celtic prevailing in the penalty shoot out, Killian Ryan holding his nerve to convert the vital spot kick.

Best for Trim Celtic were TJ Garry, Alex Geraghty, Aaron Newman and Derek Fortune.

Trim Celtic 2 -2 Parkvilla

Halftime: 1 – 1

Trim Celtic scorer: Colm Smith

In a very closely fought contest Celtic twice had to come from behind to share the points with Parkvilla. Celtic struggled to find their normal fluency in the game and Parkvilla took the lead on 17 minutes, Colm Smith however responded with a header following good work by David O’Connor.

In the second half Parkvilla again set the pace and again took the lead. With 7 minutes left Colm Smith equalized with a fine shot from 20 yards.
Celtic could have claimed all three points but a Diarmuid Higgins shot was well saved and Sean Foley had a decent penalty claim turned down.

Best for Trim Celtic were Sean Foley, Colm Smith and Darren Melia.

Trim Celtic scorer: Thomas Stokes

Thomas Stokes scored a great second half goal however Walshestown were far too strong for a tired Celtic team and ran out easy winners.

Best for Trim Celtic were Thomas Stokes, Ian Keogh and Daniel McGrianna.
