Trim Celtic notched up their thrid league win in a row with a hard fought win in Dundalk against Glenmuir Utd. Paul Bartley then doubled Celtic’s lead when his free kick proved too powerful for the keeper to hold. Another Bartley free kick from thirty yards had the keeper struggling but he managed to parry the ball to safety.
In the second half, Glenmuir again started well piling pressure on the Trim Celtic defence eventually forcing a goal some fifteen minutes in. Glenmuir proceeded to pressurise Celtic in search of an equaliser but found were unable to force Celtic kepper Mick Martin into a save of any note. With ten minutes left Celtic scored the all important goal when Paul Bartley’s driven cross was sidefooted goalwards by David Conway with Anthony Kane applying the deftest of touches to claim the winner.
