Carrick 1 – 1 Trim Celtic

Substitute Vincent Farrelly scored a last gasp equaliser for Trim Celtic to send them top of the table.

Best for Trim Celtic were Stephen Jones, Paul Munnelly and Aaron Newman.

Navan Town 1 – 4 Trim Celtic

Trim Celtic put in a blistering fist half performance racing into a three goal lead with Michael Tyndall scoring twice and Aaron Scanell also on target. Celtic were unfortunate to see stand-in keeper get injured and with Navan Town pulling a goal back nerves started to set in to the team until Mark Perle’s goal fifteen minutes from time sealed the win.

Best for Trim Celtic were Shane Greanty, Ciaran O’Duillearga and Anthony Craig.

Trim Celtic 4 – 6 Enfield

In a high scoring game Trim Celtic found themselves 5-0 down before they finally sparked to life, scoring four times with goals from Stephen Moriarty 2, Graham Higgins and Daragh Kennedy to set up an exciting finale, however Enfield scored a sixth and held on for the win.

Best for Trim Celtic were Stephen Moriarty, Tomas Markey and Graham Higgins.

Ardee 3 – 1 Trim Celtic

A below par Trim Celtic came out second best against a slicker Ardee side in this game. The Louth side scored twice in the opening twenty minutes and after that Trim Celtic were playing catch up. In the second half Trim came more into the game but missed a couple of good opportunities and were punished when Ardee scored on the break. Sean Foley pulled a goal back for Trim Celtic with minutes remaining but it wasn’t enough.

Trim Celtic 0 – 1 Parkvilla

Trim Celtic should have taken the lead when the ball rolled across the goal-line but no one was alert enough to stab it home. Parkvilla were awarded a penalty which was not converted but they took the lead through an fortunate own goal. Celtic pressed forward in the second half in search of an equaliser but despite good chances they couldn’t find one.

Trim Celtic Lions 6 – 0 Parkvilla Celtic

This was the last outing at the MDL all weather pitches before Trim go to 11-a-side next season and the Lions kept their best football for last. Trim played the ball around with ease and it was no surprise that they were 4 up by half time with 2 great goals apiece from James Toher and Sam Millen. Despite changing the team around, Trim added 2 more goals in the 2nd half from Sam Millen and Ciarán Fitzsimons.

Trim Celtic Lions 6 – 0 Carrick

In the 2nd game against Carrick, Trim were superb and played some great football. James Mitchell was never troubled in goal and Trim were two up by half time with James Toher breaking the deadlock and Sean McGee adding another. In the 2nd half, Trim added 4 more with goals from Sam Millen, Sean Spratt, Shane O’Connor and Joey Corrigan.

Trim Celtic Tigers 1 – 0 Parkvilla

Another excellent defensive display in a tightly contested match in which chances were few. Some great passing movement led to Luke Flanagan finishing with a crisp left foot shot mid way through the 1st half. Best for the Tigers Paul Somerville,Shane Lenehan,Brian Doyle, Darryl Phelan & Paul Melia in goal.

This was a strong performance by the Tigers in a match which they dominated against a strong Carrick side.Despite missing some goal chances throughout,the defence were well on top for the Tigers.A well taken goal by Evan Dixon & an opportunistic free kick by Colin Stowe sealed the win.Best for the Tigers were Ciaran Halpin, Sean FitzGerald & Paul Melia.
