This was a close contest but the scoreline could have read better in Trim’s favour had it not been for some poor finishing. Celtic fell behind in the first half after a defensive error but Anthony Craig’s equaliser ensured it was all square at the break.

In the second half Trim pressed for a winner but it wasn’t until ten minutes from time when substitute Paul Genockey expertly headed home after good work from Ciaran Quinn that they got what they deserved.

After the holidays, Trim were surprisingly sharp and went about their work with a lot of effort. It didn’t take long for their hard work to pay off and they took the lead with a goal from Gareth White. Trim continued to spread the ball around and added further goals from Fionn Nally and Sam Millen for a comfortable win.

Against Trim Town, Trim Celtic were always in control and played some excellent constructive football. The passing was crisp and quick. Best for Trim Celtic were
