Kentstown 3 – 5 Trim Celtic

This was a great game and the win saw Trim Celtic through to the semi-final of the Cup. Stand-in Under 15 goalkeeper Eric Scanlon gave a good performance will good finishing at the other end from Michael Tyndall 2, Mark Perle, Anthony Craig, Alan Douglas saw Celtic through.

Best for Trim Celtic were Caolan Young, Owen Englishby and Cian Dunne

Trim Celtic’s first win of the season was very welcome and deserved. Trim Celtic dominated the first half and were two goals up within ten minutes with Stephen Moriarty and James Pratt scoring. A lapse in concentration let Agher pull a goal back before James Pratt scored his second before halftime.

In the second half Agher again pulled a goal back before Donal Loughlin scored from the spot. Agher again reduced the deficit before Stephen Moriarty rounded up the scoring.

Best for Trim Celtic were James Pratt, Adam Whelan and Darragh Kennedy.

Kells 1 – 1 Trim Celtic

Trim Celtic scorer: Damien McGee

This was a hard earned point for Trim Celtic who started the match brightly, Colm Smith forcing the Kells keeper into a good save. However it was Kells who struck first when a defensive mistake by Trim Celtic was punished.
Celtic fought back and equalised with a great goal from Damien McGee from 15 yards. In the second half Damien McGee and Colm Smith came close but the match finished in a draw.

Best for Trim Celtic were Damien McGee, Niall Farrell, Sean Foley, Darren Melia and Jonathan Shaw.

Trim Celtic came up against unbeaten league leaders Oldcastle in this SFAI Cup match. Celtic put in a good performance but the Oldcastle side were just too strong.

Some brilliant goalkeeping from Robert Bourke coupled with great goals from Fergal O’Hare and Steven Moroney ensured Trim Celtic Supremps superb form continued.

Trim Celtic Pumas had to defend hard throughout this game with Keane Geraghty saving a first half penalty. This was still a below par performance for the Pumas who know they had an off day.

A depleted team was always going to make this a difficult game for Trim Celtic Pumas. They defended well at times but were unable to create many scoring chances.

Trim Celtic scorers: Kyle Dixon 2, Jack Byrne After dominating the first half, Trim found themselves 1-0 down at the interval. However the Raptors showed great bouncebackability and two early second half goals by Kyle Dixon put Trim in front and a last minute goal by the impressive Jack Byrne sealed a fine win for the Raptors.
