Trim Celtic 4 – 1 Torro Utd
This was Trim Celtic’s first game in six weeks but they showed no signs of rustiness as they beat Toro 4 – 1 in the MDL. Colm Doyle opened the scoring with a fine header but Torro equalised to make it 1 – 1 at the break. Trim Celtic upped the pace in the 2nd half and goal a deserved victory with further goals from Anthony Craig, John Pedan and Aaron Newman.

Enfield 4 – 2 Trim Celtic
Trim Celtic fell behind in the first half against the run of play. Celtic equalised when a good run by Donal Loughlin into the box resulting in him being brought down for a penalty which he duly converted. In the second half Enfield made the most of some mistakes by Trim Celtic for whom John Pratt also scored.

This was a poor performance on the night against a strong Kingscourt side who were aided by some poor Tigers defending. After falling behind early in the match, the Tigers quickly levelled but fell behind to a succession of quick strikes from Kingscourt. After dominating the early exchanges after
the break they got caught on the break a number of times. The Tigers battled to the final whistle but it was not their night.

This was a match in which the Tigers should have won but a combination of missed chances and bad defending allowed Torro to take the spoils.

Trim outclassed a Carrick side by playing some very neat and skilful football. Trim dominated the match from start to finish and were unfortunate not to have added to their five goals. The scorers in particular
were impressive with Shane O’Connor and Fionn Nally scoring two apiece and Joey Corrigan scoring a particularly skilful goal.

In the second game against Trim Town, Celtic took the lead through an opportunistic goal by James Toher. However, Trim Town scored two goals before half time to take the lead. In the second half, Trim Town defended well and Celtic were unable to break them down although they were close on

Trim Celtic Panthers 1 – 3 Trim Town AET
This Semi Final had everything. Panthers took the lead early on in the
second half through Sean Healy and held the lead until 5 seconds from the end when Town scored.
Panthers never recovered from this late goal and Town went onto win in extra
time. The whole team gave it everything but it just was not panthers night.

Trim Celtic Raptors won the MDL Under 8 League Final in great style by beating local rivals Trim Celtic Eagles by 6 – 0. The Raptors took control early on with goals from Jack Byrne and Eoin Sweeney and never looked back after this. Victory was build on a fantastic team effort from all the Raptors players.
