Athboy 4 – 1 Trim Celtic

Halftime: 2 – 1

Athboy took the lead slightly against the run of play after ten minutes. Graham Higgins scored a good goal to draw Celtic level ten minutes later. Poor mistakes allowed Athboy re-take the lead before halftime. A harsh penalty decision helped Athboy to a 3 -1 lead before a later goal made it 4-1. Trim Celtic kept fighting on and were unlucky not to narrow the deficit on a few occasion.

Best for Trim Celtic were Michael Lydon, Darragh Kennedy and Nico Marocco.

Trim Celtic 1 – 4 Etrepagny

A more physical Etrepagny side dominated the first half of this game and found themselves 3 up at halftime, partly due to some bad Celtic defending. Donal Loughlin scored early in the second half, which started a spirited fight back. Trim Celtic missed some good chances to get closer to their French rivals and in the end a late Etrepagny goal sealed the victory.

Best for Trim Celtic were Graham Higgins, Tomas Markey and Michael Lydon.

Kingscourt 4 – 1 Trim Celtic

Halftime: 2 – 1

For the second game in a row Trim Celtic came out 2nd best against a very strong Kingscourt side. Trim Celtic began strongly with Damien McGee scoring an excellent goal after just five minutes. However two poor goals conceded from set pieces saw this lead overturned before the break. In the second half Kingscourt took control and added two further goals.

Best for Trim Celtic were Dillan Murrnin, Jamie Lee, Damien McGee and Ryan Andrews.

Halftime: 1 – 0

This was a very good all round team performance with the win ensuring the Tigers go through to the Cup semi-final. Darryl Phelan came off the bench to score to fine goals to seal the victory adding to Sean FitzGerald’s and Ciaran Halpin’s strikes.

Trim Celtic Tigers were outplayed in the first half of this game against a strong Navan side. However they played a lot better after the break but could not get the better of the Navan defence. Best for Trim Celtic Tigers were Paul Melia, Ciaran Halpin and Evan Dixon.

Trim Celtic Supremos superb form continued with a 2 – 0 win against a strong Carrick side. Second half goals from Kevin Nally and Fergal O’Hare saw Celtic through.

Trim Celtic Raptors consolidated their position at the top of the MDL’s Under 8 table with a fine win over club rivals Trim Celtic Eagles. Cian Goodwin and James McKeown scored for the Eagles while Jack Byrne netted twice for the Raptors with Eoin O’Connor scored the other.

In this game the Eagles started with some good solid defending by Mikey Cullen and Khalum Doyle. The lead was taken midway through the first half from a Cian Goodwin goal. In the second half both Jack Kelly and Ross Power had near misses. The Eagles second goal was scored by James McKeown with Lee Delaney adding a third.
