Moneymore 3 – 7 Trim Celtic

Trim Celtic continued their strong start to the season with another good
performance and convincing win. David Donoghue opened the scoring before
going on to complete a hattrick while Craig O’Hanlon bagged a brace with
Stephen Jones and Killian Ryan completing the scoring.

Best for Trim Celtic were Alex Geraghty, Stephen Jones, David Donoghue and
James Curran

This was a poor display by Trim Celtic who had keeper Stephen Doyle to thank
for keeping the halftime score at only 1 – 0 with some superb goalkeeping.
Parkvilla secured the win with two late second half goals.

Best for Trim Celtic were Stephen Doyle, Ciaran O’Duillearga and Vinny

Square Utd 2 – 5 Trim Celtic

Halftime: 1 – 3

Trim Celtic scorers: Colm Doyle 3, John Pedan, Eoin Hanson

Goals from John Pedan, Colm Doyle and a superb strike from Eoin Hanson put
Celtic 3 up before a Square penalty left the score 3 -1 at halftime.
In the second half Colm Doyle scored twice to complete his hattrick one of
the goals stuck from the centre circle, before Square scored a late

Trim Celtic 3 – 1 Ardee

Halftime: 0 – 1

Trim Celtic scorers: Colm Smith, Sean Foley, Niall Farrell

Celtic recorded their first league win of the season with a deserved victory
over a physically strong Ardee side at Tully Park. Trim started badly and
conceded a soft goal after only 2 minutes. However they recovered well with
some good football without hitting the net for the remainder of the first

The second half was a different story as Damien McGee set up Colm Smith for
the equaliser. Sean Foley’s header from David O’Connor’s corner put Celtic
ahead. Niall Farrell’s 20 yard strike rounded off the scoring.

Best for Trim Celtic in an excellent team performance were Ryan Andrews,
Darren Melia, Colm Smith and Damien McGee

This was a very entertaining match. Despite trailing 2 -1 at halftime a
superb team effort saw Celtic come back strongly to take the victory 5 – 2.
