Trim Celtic 1 – 2 Ardee Celtic

Halftime: 0 – 1

Trim Celtic scorer Aaron Newman

This was a disappointing game for Trim Celtic who started poorly and were one down at the break. It was only after Ardee’s second goal that Trim began to play to their capabilities and an Aaron Newman goal got them back in the game. But for a combination of the woodwork and bad finishing Trim Celtic may have snatched a point.

NECSL Under 13 League

Kentstown 1 – 1 Trim Celtic

Halftime: 0 – 1

Trim Celtic scorer: Diarmuid Higgins

A poor refereeing decision denied Trim Celtic a deserved win in this match.
Leading by a Diarmuid Higgins strike from 15 yards after twenty minutes a controversial penalty cost Celtic two points. However this was a much improved Celtic performance after the disappointment of last week. Showing much more characteristic discipline and organisation they were the better team throughout. Jamie Lee’s return to the defence mad a big difference where he was ably supported by Darren Melia and David O’Connor, with Diarmuid Higgins always a threat to the Kentstown defence. In the second half facing a strong wind Celtic played some very good football with Colm Smith
Trim Celtic: Dillon Murrnin, Jamie Lee, Darren Melia, David O’Connor, Jonathan Shaw, Sean Foley, Damien McGee, Niall Farrell, Colm Smith, Sean Curran, Diarmuid Higgins

Subs: Conor Daly (for Sean Curran), Nigel Kennedy, Ryan Andrews, Ross Flynn, James Hyland
